Leadership Information Adat Re'im is governed by what it is - a community. We are creating a model for Jewish life based on shared responsibility and participation. We do not have an elected board of trustees or directors. Instead, our leadership body is a self-selected Community Council, known as the Va'ad. The Va'ad makes all leadership decisions for Adat Re'im. Any adult member of the congregation may volunteer to serve on the Va'ad, or on one of its standing or ad hoc working committees. Va'ad volunteers must commit to attending monthly meetings during their term of service, must agree to serve on one working committee, and must be active participants in the congregation.
