Becoming A Member

Adat Re'im is an inclusive congregation, welcoming all Jews and their families regardless of their level of Jewish knowledge or observance. To join Adat Re'im, at least one member of the household must identify as Jewish. We warmly welcome interfaith families, and encourage their participation in all aspects of congregational life.

Membership Contribution

Adat Re'im is built on a new model designed with community, inclusion, and shared responsibility in mind. The way our synagogue is financed is based on that model. We do not have a structured fee schedule for membership dues, religious school fees, or other miscellaneous charges. Instead, each year, our Community Council, the Va'ad, will project the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, present the budget to the congregation, and then ask the members of the congregation to contribute what they can. We understand that some people have more to give and others have less. We will never turn away a prospective member because of an inability to contribute financially. We only ask our members to consider the expenses we will share as a community and contribute according to their resources.In addition to their financial assistance, our members are asked to contribute their time, passion, energy and ideas to the community.
